How we handle your data

TVALIO is an IPTV player app for LG Smart TVs. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is stored and protected. We have kept this short and plain — no legal jargon.

1. Who we are

TVALIO is operated as an independent product. Our website is tvalio.net and you can reach us at privacy@tvalio.net. We are based in the United Arab Emirates.

2. What we collect

We collect the minimum data required to run the app. Nothing more.

📱 Device Identifier

When you first open the app, we generate two identifiers from your TV's hardware: Device ID (a unique code used for licensing) and a Device Key(a secure token used to verify ownership on the web portal). Both are derived from your TV's hardware using one-way cryptographic functions — your raw hardware address is never stored on our servers.

≡ Playlist & EPG Data

Your playlist settings (server address, username, password) and EPG source URLs are synced to our servers so you can manage them from the web portal and have them restored if you reinstall the app. This data is linked to your Device ID only — no name, email, or account is required.

💳 Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe provides us with a payment confirmation and transaction reference only. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

✅ Consent Record

When you accept this privacy policy in the app, we store a consent record linked to your Device ID along with the date and time of acceptance. This allows us to respect your consent across reinstalls.

3. What we do not collect

We never collect any of the following:

✗ What you watch or your viewing history✗ Your name, email address, or any account credentials✗ Advertising identifiers or tracking cookies✗ Your IPTV provider's content or stream data✗ Location data✗ Any data from third-party services you connect (your IPTV subscription is between you and your provider)

4. How we use your data

To verify your license and manage your trial or activated status
To sync your playlists and EPG sources across devices and reinstalls
To process your payment and activate your device (via Stripe)
To record your consent to this privacy policy

We do not sell, share, or rent your data to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Data storage & security

Your data is stored using Supabase, a managed database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to our backend API only — no direct public access to the database is permitted.

We retain your Device ID, playlist data, and consent record for as long as your device is registered. If you delete all your playlists from the app, your data is removed from our servers as well.

6. Your rights

Regardless of where you are located, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about your device
Delete — request that all data associated with your Device ID is permanently deleted
Correct — request correction of any inaccurate data
Object — object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@tvalio.net with your Device ID (shown in the app under Settings → About) and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's privacy

TVALIO is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend checking this page periodically.

9. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE. If you are located in the European Union, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
